I am excited to officially announce my candidacy for Place 5 on the Coppell ISD Board of Trustees.
I believe the strength of any community directly correlates to the quality of its local schools. As an 11-year resident of Coppell, I care deeply about and am involved in our community that we call home. I have invested considerable time and effort to understand and learn how our district operates. My Coppell ISD involvement includes:
- Co-Chair CISD Bond Oversight Committee
- Pinkerton PTO Board, Dad’s Club Liaison
- Coppell Education Foundation Board Member
- 2016 iLead CISD Leadership Training
As a father of 3 young children attending Coppell ISD schools, I have a vested interest in seeing that Coppell ISD continues to deliver on providing a great education – that of which we have all become accustomed to - for many years to come.
Not only are my children a part of our district, but my wife Jessica is as well. She has been teaching at Coppell High School for the past 13 years, recently being awarded the Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science. This provides me a unique perspective not only as a parent, but also from the educators on the front-line.
Finally, I believe that serving as a Trustee is a commitment to our children and the community at-large. It is my pledge to bring an open-mind and to encourage an open-dialogue by being engaged with our parents, staff, students and community.
I look forward to earning your votes.
