Coppell children have been raised on Coppell Lions Club Pancakes!

Coppell Lions Club Annual Groundhog Pancake Breakfast

Bring Old Eyeglasses to Recycle

Come join in one of the oldest traditions in Coppell—25 years this year.  The Lions Club of Coppell invites everyone to come to the pancake breakfast and blood drive on Saturday, February 4th from  7:00 a.m. until 12 noon at Austin Elementary School, 161 S. Moore Rd.  The cost is $5 for adults, $4 for Senior Citizens, and $3 for children.

The Lions Club raises money for its programs once a year with a pancake breakfast.  Some of the programs benefited include scholarships for graduates of Coppell High School, Eyeglasses for kids in Coppell with needs, Lions Sight and Tissue Foundation, Texas Lions Camp for Children, Christmas Baskets for needy families and many other programs.

In 1925, Helen Keller asked the Lions Club to be “Knights to the Blind”.  From this challenge has come many responses, including:  Recycle Eyeglasses, Low Vision Clinics, Research and missions to help eliminate blindness in many countries.  In Coppell, the Coppell Lions club pays for underprivileged children to have eye exams and eye-glasses.  Please bring your old prescription eyeglasses for us to recycle for use in another country.

Come meet your friends, make new friends, enjoy some pancakes & learn what Lionism is all about!
