Starting October 15th and lasting about 10 days, you may see Flamingo flocks around town in people’s yards. The Coppell High School swim team will be having their annual fundraising event. Last year’s event allowed the team to help replace the aging starting blocks at the Coppell YMCA. This year, the team is hoping for another successful event in order to replace 30-40 warm-up suits used during swim meets. Typically, those who have their yards flock donate $25 to have them removed but some are so disgusted with the “bird droppings” from the plastic flamingos, they donate more!

If you would like to help the swim team achieve its goal, and would like to have your yard flocked showing support, please contact Bwendy Henderson at bwendyh@yahoo.com.
