The Coppell Women’s Club will hold its first general meeting of 2012 on Feb. 1 at 10 a.m. at North Lake College North Campus in Coppell. This new venue for meetings is due to the growing membership of the club and will be the permanent meeting location. The North Campus is located at the southeast corner of State Highway 121 and Sandy Lake Road in Coppell. The focus is “Women’s Health: Stress & Aging using Alternative Therapies.” Guest speakers are Dr. J. P. Quinlan and Jim Hrncir, R.Ph.

Dr. Quinlan specializes in Acupuncture and Chiropractic Care. He graduated with a chemistry degree from Iowa State, received his chiropractic training at the National College of Chiropractic and is certified in acupuncture. He is a member of the American Academy of Spine Physicians, American Chiropractic Association, Texas Chiropractic Association, and Foundation for Chiropractic Education and Research. He also has a certificate for completing a comprehensive training program in whiplash and brain injury traumatology.

Mr. Hrncir is a Registered Pharmacist and one of the first pharmacists in the US to develop and formulate Natural Hormone Replacement compounds. He has been featured on the Dr. Phil show as an expert in Bio-Identical hormone therapy and has developed LCP Anti-Aging Skincare, a line that fights the effects on environmental damage done to the skin. He is an Adjunct Professor of Pharmacy Practice for Texas Tech School of Pharmacy and Texas University School of Pharmacy, where he helps with the development of pharmacy doctoral candidates.

Members are encouraged to bring old prescription eyeglasses to the meeting. These will be donated to the Coppell Lion’s Club for recycling.
