The Coppell Family YMCA will sponsor the second annual Prayer Breakfast on Monday, November 9th at 7 -8:30 am.  The event, “One Nation Under God,” will again be held in the Williams conference room at the YMCA, 146 Town Center Blvd.

Guest speakers for the event, which honors military veterans and first responders, will be Fire Chief Kevin Richardson, Police Chief Mac Tristan and Cottonwood Creek Elementary school principal, Dr. Audra Penny.  “First responders are among the most important services provided by any city.  We are honored to hear how Chief Richardson and Chief Tristan and their respective departments work to ensure the safety of Coppell residents,” said Maureen Corcoran, chair of the YMCA’s Christian Emphasis Committee.  “I hope the citizens of Coppell will join us as we acknowledge their courageous acts and show them the admiration they and their departments deserve.”

“We are also excited to hear from Dr. Audra Penny, Principal at Coppell’s Cottonwood Creek Elementary, a seasoned and decorated educator with a Christian heart who lovingly cares for students young and not so young,” said Gayle Westapher, executive director at the YMCA.  “Learn how Dr. Penny is educating our children to appreciate our American war veterans and the importance of never forgetting their service to our country,” she added.

The prayer breakfast, which includes a catered buffet breakfast, is open to the public. Reservations are required and limited to the first 75.  Cost: $30 for general admission, $10 for veterans and $160 for a table of eight.  Table sponsorships are available.  For more information, contact Gayle Westapher at gwestapher@ymcadallas.org.
