William T. Cozby Public Library Looking for Summer 'Volunteens'

The William T. Cozby public library in Coppell is in need of teenage volunteers, which the library is referring to as "volunteens," to provide assistance during the busy summer months.

The volunteens will help with the Summer Reading Club, which is an annual program that encourages schoolchildren to read during their vacation from class, by working at the front desk, registering kids and distributing prizes. Volunteens are also needed to help during special summer events.

All of the volunteens must be Coppell residents who are 12 to 17 years old, and opportunities to volunteer will last from June 4 to July 31. People can sign up on May 5, May 7 and May 8. For more information about how to register, visit the city's website.
