CHSHA is pleased to announce Barrett Wilson as our Head Coach of the Junior Varsity team.  Barrett is an alumni of CHS (class of 2000) and played on the inauguaral Coppell Hockey team in 1997, before going onto a successful Tier 1 travel career.  He's proof of one of our favorite sayings about Coppell Hockey, "Once a Cowboy, always a Cowboy"!  In addition to an excellent hockey background, Barrett has a undergraduate degree from Arizona State University and a graduate degree from the University of North Dakota.

Barrett brings strong hockey experience to CHSHA. He played with the Dallas Stars U18AAA team before moving on to play Junior A in the NAHL. He has been an assistant coach with the Dallas Stars U18AAA team and spent two seasons assisting with the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux in the WCHA.

Since coming back to Dallas, Barrett has coached alongside Jordan French with the Dallas Stars Elite Bantam Major 95 Tier 1 team.  This season he will be the head coach of the DSE's Bantom Minor '98 team, as well as a '98 DJHA Tier II team.  And of course, he'll be our JV Head Coach and assist Ty Hennes with the Varsity, as his schedule allows.

The Wilson name is very familiar in Dallas Hockey. Barrett's father Rick is currently the Associate Coach with the NHL Dallas Stars and has been with the Stars Organization for the past 17 seasons.  His brother Landon, a Coppell resident, has spent 12 seasons in the NHL including this past season as a member of the Dallas Stars.

Join me in welcoming Barrett BACK to the Coppell Hockey family!
