The community event is a fundraiser for the Education Foundation and is coordinated in partnership with the City of Coppell, Coppell Independent School District and supported by many local business sponsors. The Foundation is a non-profit organization of volunteers, chartered in 2000, whose efforts have donated more than $870,000 in support of the students and teachers of Coppell ISD through innovative classroom grants. The Foundation hosts several fundraisers throughout the year and, on May 6th, will host the annual Student/Teacher Academic Recognition Banquet that honors those who have exhibited the highest standards of educational excellence in Coppell ISD.
