It’s time to pitch in to keep Coppell beautiful!  Keep Coppell Beautiful’s annual city-wide cleanup event, Clean Coppell, is coming up in April.

Keep Coppell Beautiful encourages families, scout troops, schools and other organizations to get involved in beautifying their community by participating in Clean Coppell 2014.  This year’s event will begin on April 12 and run through April 26.

Participants are encouraged to complete their cleanup on April 12, in a combined city-wide effort and display of community pride.  All registered groups who wear their 2014  t-shirt to Earthfest will receive a free snow cone!  The city’s annual Earthfest event will be April 12, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at Town Center, 255 Parkway Blvd.

Clean Coppell is held every year in conjunction with the Great American Cleanup and Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off events.  Volunteers are invited to do their part by completing a litter cleanup, creek cleanup or participate in the Coppell Nature Park’s workday or complete another beautification or improvement project of their choosing.

“Clean Coppell is our biggest volunteer effort of the year,” Jen Ferguson, Community Programs Coordinator, said. “This event is a great way for Coppell citizens to make a difference in their community.”

The registration form is available on the City of Coppell website, under the About Coppell/Keep Coppell Beautiful page and Clean Coppell heading.  Registration closes on March 17.  Registered volunteers receive a free t-shirt and Keep Coppell Beautiful will provide cleanup supplies, such as trash bags and gloves, to the volunteers.
