Christmas in April? Believe it or not, members of the Assistance League of Coppell are already looking for citizens interested in placing their homes on the annual Christmas in Coppell Home Tour. The 16th annual tour is scheduled for Friday, December 5 and Saturday, December 6. Featuring local homes, the tour is a tradition in the community and was recently voted the Best Annual Event on Coppell BubbleLife.

“Our home was on the tour a few years ago, and it was an enjoyable experience. We were pleased to be able to give back to an organization that supports Coppell in a powerful way,” said Lynette Winkler.

Proceeds from the home tour provide funding for ALC programs including:

  • Operation School Bell (provides school clothes and supplies for students in financial need)
  • Youth Today  (mentoring for middle school students, Shattered Dreams, Fatal Vision Goggles, complimentary drug testing kits)
  • Helping Hearts (weekly visits with residents in assisted living facility)

“It is fun to see groups go on the tour together every year. My home was featured two years ago, and it was easy and rewarding to help out. ALC provided two nights stay in a hotel, cleaning service and tour tickets,” Shawnee Ingrum commented.
