Kellen Reid, #14, Gatorade Player of the Year nominee along with Chris Madden, and the rest of the Cowboys are off to Midland this Friday to play El Paso Eastwood in the Regional semi-finals.

The Cowboys Soccer team came through with another big win on Tuesday night against Duncanville in the Regional quarterfinal playoff game held at Birdville ISD Fine Arts/Athletic Complex.

The first goal came from Roberto Arguello who was able to put a nice feeder down the middle from Chris Madden in the back of the net. Chris Madden found the back of the goal himself off of a nice cross from Austin Michaelis to make it 2-0.

The 2nd half would find the Cowboys in a difficult situation playing a man down due to a controversial red card call with 20 minutes left in the half. The Cowboys tenacious defense was able to hold off the Duncanville offense and come through with the 2-0 win. Way to go, Cowboys!

The Cowboys will travel to Midland this Friday, April 11, where they will play El Paso Eastwood in the Regional semi-final playoff game at 6 p.m. The Regional final game will be held Saturday in Midland where the potential match up could be district 5-5A rivals Coppell vs. Marcus. Also, a huge congratulations to Chris Madden and Kellen Reid for being nominated by Gatorade for Gatorade Player of the Year from the state of Texas! If they are chosen from Texas, they will compete for the national Gatorade Player of the Year title!
