The City of Coppell’s popular fall celebration, Oak Fest, returns Saturday, October 18 from 5-9 PM with fun for the whole family! The perfect way to spend a brisk autumn evening, Oak Fest celebrates Coppell’s roots and growing strength, as well as the diversity of life in the community. Enjoy free miniature train rides, face painting, bounce houses, as well as live performances by local favorite entertainers. The ten-piece party band, “Limelight” will take the stage, with a high-energy performance covering decades of classics as well as hits from today. Professor Brainius returns to entertain audiences young and old with his wild and wacky science show! Visit the Arts and Crafts tent, new for 2014, to find local artists selling a variety of handmade goods.
For those looking to indulge in an assortment of festival foods, Oak Fest will not disappoint! Local vendors will offer favorites including Kettle Corn, Turkey Legs, Funnel Cakes, Roasted Corn on the Cob, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, BBQ Sandwiches, Nachos, and more! Or, pack a meal at home and bring it to the event to enjoy a picnic in the park.
Oak Fest will take place at Andrew Brown Park East, located at 260 E. Parkway Blvd. Parking is available at the park, as well as at Town Center and Andrew Brown Parks West and Central, just a short trail walk away!
