Learn how to “go green” at the City of Coppell’s annual Earthfest event, held Saturday, April 11 from 9AM -1PM! EcoCoppell Earthfest aims to raise awareness of the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment for future generations, and educate residents on ways to lead more environmentally sustainable lifestyles. The City of Coppell will have several booths highlighting its continued proactive efforts to reduce the City’s environmental footprint.
Visit the wide variety of interactive educational booths to learn about easy ways to help the environment. Booths will cover topics such as alternative energy, water conservation, air quality, conserving natural resources, as well as numerous methods of reducing your impact on the environment. Several Coppell ISD schools will be in attendance showcasing their sustainability efforts and projects within the schools.
Pick up organic plants for the garden at the plant sale; all proceeds will go to the Coppell Community Garden. Many craft vendors will sell products that stay true to the spirit of Earthfest.
Bring the kids and enjoy many family activities located throughout the Plaza. Watch a live show by the mad scientist, Professor Brainius, visit balloon artists, face painters, and bounce houses, and listen to Coppell’s own, Definitely, Maybe band, powered by the Solar Shuttle. Several popular food trucks will also be in attendance, including Hook and Ladder Pizza Co., Easy Slider, Maui Wowi, and Kona Ice. The Coppell Fire Department will sell BBQ to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
During EcoCoppell Earthfest, residents doing some spring-cleaning will have the opportunity to drop off a variety of items at the “Fix - Up, Clean - Up” collection at Town Center Elementary, 185 N.
