This past Thursday night was Senior Night for Coppell Boys Lacrosse, a night where the program honored the twelve out-going seniors and their families. The players that were honored were Midfielder Joe Fex, Attackman Spencer Haddock, Midfielder Ripken Reynolds, Midfielder Ben Goyne, Defenseman Dylan Thompson, Midfielder Tommy Donaldson, Midfielder Ryan Finglass, Goalie Cooper McAden, LSM Connor Choate, Attackman Alex Lozano, Defenseman Adam Coberly, and Defenseman Ryan Gordon.

In the JV game, the Coppell Boys took on the Hebron JV team. It was a back and forth game throughout that ended in a 6-6 tie. Lee Martin made some big saves in goal to keep it close, and despite some late possessions and good looks at the goal by the Coppell offense in the final minutes, the Cowboys were unable to score the go-ahead goal.

In the Varsity game, Coppell took on a tough opponent from the Northwest United States, Skyline High School from Seattle, WA. Skyline looked sharp in the first quarter as they grabbed the early lead and a 2-0 advantage over the Cowboys.

Coppell bounced back in the second quarter on back-to-back goals by Luke Bivens, with assists coming from Reese Walker and Zack Bartolacci, putting the Cowboys on the scoreboard. Skyline took a 3-2 lead into halftime.

The third quarter was evenly matched as Coppell got two goals from Reese Walker and one goal from Zach Bartolacci, keeping Coppell within a one-goal margin going into the final quarter. Senior goalie Cooper McAden turned in one of the top performances of the night, facing a barrage of shots all evening and making twelve saves on the game, which was his season high.

Skyline was able to find the net more often in the fourth quarter than Coppell was, and powered their way to a 10-6 final score and the win. The Junior Varsity and Varsity boys will travel to Dallas on Tuesday night to take on the undefeated and top-ranked team in Texas, Episcopal School of Dallas (ESD). Try and make it down to the games on Tuesday to support the Cowboys lacrosse teams.
