The CHS Golf Teams will host a Mexican Dinner catered by Esparza’s Grill on September 12th before the home football game that evening. The Dinner, Silent Auction and Raffle will run from 5 to 7 pm that evening. The Coppell Golf Teams should meet with substantial competition in the new district pairings for 7 6A, but the talent is there to prove successful with hard work and practice. Coaches Terry Galbraith, Bob Kies and Jan Borg will mentor the 5 teams this season. All are hoping to be successful in the Spring District Tournament with victories and then on to the Regionals and State. The Girls Varsity Team hopes to make it a 3peat trip to the State Tournament. The last two years they have finished 4th in state and with the talent on the team a return trip is a reasonable expectation.
Steve Brown with Esparza’s Grill will be rebranding and repositioning his Gueros Mexican Grill restaurant as a Coppell Esparza’s Grill. Esparza’s will serve an Enchilada and Taco with sides to all for the Golf Dinner. Tickets can be purchased from a CHS golfer for $10 or $12 at the door.
