The University of Texas picked up the eighteenth member of its 2012 recruiting class Monday after the placekicker for Coppell High School named Nick Jordan verbally committed to the program, according to a Dallas Morning News blog.

"He kicks better than any kid in the world," said Joe McBride, the head football coach for Coppell. "I'm happy for him."

Jordan is 6-2, 175 pounds, and he received offers from Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Iowa State and Illinois.

Last season, Jordan converted 75 extra points and made eight of nine field goal attempts, but none were longer than 43 yards, though he did convert a 58-yard field goal in the school's spring game.
