A Coppell family is being featured in a national advertising campaign this summer. Rack Room Shoes is using the Dorsey family in a campaign aimed to showcase real families, according to Lindsey Bever of neighborsgo.  

Photographs of Clarence and Mandy Dorsey and their children are being included on flyers and posters inside the company stores. Rack Room Shoes first launched a campaign that focuses on real families 2004. Families can apply to be featured in the campaign, and the number of entries has grown from about 1,500 to 4,000 annually, said Jan Mauldin, director of marketing for Rack Room Shoes. 

Mandy Dorsey submitted photos of her family last December after finding information online about the campaign and the application process.

"She signed us up and told us after we had won," Clarence said. "I was like, 'You know what? You're pulling my leg. I don't believe you.' She always plays practical jokes."

Rack Room Shoes has stores operating in 28 states and offers both nationally recognized and private brands.
