Texas Creative Arts Academy TCAA students enjoy a wide variety of theatre arts specialty classes including Acting for the Camera, and Voice Over Acting: Cartoons Anyone? (Photo and caption courtesy of TCAA.)

Children who are interested in the performing arts are invited to check out the Texas Creative Arts Academy in Coppell during a special event next month.

The Texas Creative Arts Academy is hosting an open house for parents and youth who are three years old through eighth grade from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 6 at the Coppell Studio, which is located at 773 S. MacArthur Blvd.

At the open house event, the academy's staff will host free classes for youth who attend and will even give out prizes, according to a news release. Also, the academy's cast of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown will be doing a special performance of a song from the musical.

The Texas Creative Arts Academy is a non-profit youth arts group that promotes the performing arts. It is staffed with professionals who teach classes and workshops in areas, including acting, dancing and singing, and encourage children to explore their creativity.
