The Coppell Fire Department is teaming up with the local Rotary Club and Frost Bank to collect school supplies for students in need.

The organizations are hosting the "Buy One, Give One" Back to School Supply Drive this month, according to the city website. The annual supply drive is collecting donations for all ages and grades.

"The fire department is ready and committed to helping local families impacted by tough economic times," said Kevin Richardson, Coppell's fire chief.

Commonly requested supplies include backpacks, binders, colored pencils, erasers, notebooks, pencil boxes and scissors. Click here for a detailed list of commonly requested supplies.

School supply donations for all grades can be dropped off from Aug. 1-22 at any of the Coppell Fire Stations or the Frost Bank, which is located at 102 N. Denton Tap Rd.

"Simply ring the buzzer at the front door, or leave the supplies on the porch, and the firefighters will handle the rest," Richardson said.
