Tuesday, May 24, 2016.

The Coppell Chamber announces the recipients of the 2016 Coppell Community Development Foundation (CCDF) scholarship awards.

Scholarships were awarded to Coppell ISD graduating seniors who are planning to attend an accredited four-year college or university. Recipients were chosen based on character, citizenship, scholastic record, financial need, recommendations, career plans and interview skills.

Maddy Giddens received a $5,000 award sponsored by Baylor Scott & White Medical Center of Irving, Taddie Cook received a $4,000 award sponsored by Beast Feast and Linda Castranova received a $2,000 award sponsored by CCDF.

The Coppell Community Development Foundation (CCDF) is a 501c(3) that helps provide assistance for business, philanthropic and education programs in Coppell. The CCDF helps with multiple efforts annually that assist the residents and businesses in Coppell. From high school scholarships to assistance in running the Teen Leadership Coppell program. CCDF also assists in the management of the local annual fundraising event, Beast Feast, that raises funds to be shared with multiple Coppell churches to be contributed to their benevolence funds.

“It’s so wonderful to have scholarship assistance for local high school graduates available through some fundraising and the generosity of our chamber members,” said Kristi Valentine, President and CEO of the Coppell Chamber.
