Kristi Valentine, President & CEO of the Coppell Chamber of Commerce since January 2013, has decided to step down from her leadership position with the Chamber at the end of this year. Kristi will finish out 2016 leading the Chamber staff, then take a couple of months off to relax before beginning to work for the business her husband, John Valentine, started over two years ago, Valentine Premier Roofing & General Contracting. She will serve as the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for her family business beginning in March 2017.
"It's very hard for me to step away from this job that I've love so much. Being a major contributor to the community by working with the 500 businesses that our Coppell Chamber Members, the City of Coppell, CISD and North Lake College has been a dream job for me because I absolutely love this community! My health has suffered a bit due to the strong work ethic I bring to my job as an all-in, all- the-time servant leader. It's important for me to now think about my health, my family and our own business. It's going to be so fun to focus on continuing the growth of our own successful business.", Said Kristi Valentine.
The Coppell Chamber will be posting for the position of President and CEO, as well as for an Events and Sponsorship Manager. Christine Douglass, the current Events and Sponsorship Manager, announced this week that she will also be leaving the Chamber early in 2017. She has been employed by the Chamber for 2 years and has been a key component to the success of all of the Chamber's success during her tenure.
Under the leadership of Kristi Valentine, the Chamber has more than doubled the membership, has rolled out several new programs and events engaging the membership and community, has held a highly successful Building Campaign to assist in the purchase of the Chamber's own business cottage in Old Town Coppell, and much more.
