My name is Jessica K. and I am a Senior Girl Scout in Coppell. I am currently working on my Gold Award project, and my goal is to raise awareness and donations of personal hygiene and household items for Metrocrest Services, a social services organization located in Farmers Branch. I volunteer for Metrocrest Services, and have seen the great impact they have on the people they serve. I noticed a high demand for personal hygiene products, so my plan is to highlight this need and help create awareness in the community. Metrocrest Services has a mission of providing programs for individuals, families, and seniors that lead to self-sufficiency and which serve to foster independence. I greatly admire their core value of providing encouragement, hope, and a path to independence delivered with dignity and respect. For more information on Metrocrest Services, please see this website: www.metrocrestservices.org.
I will be collecting donations of toilet paper, feminine hygiene products, shampoo, bath soap, toothpaste, deodorant, and laundry detergent for Metrocrest Services. Beginning on Saturday, July 7th (in the afternoon), I will be setting up donation boxes at the following locations for these donations:
- Kelly's Ole's Neighborhood Tex-Mex (600 E Sandy Lake Rd #106, Coppell, TX 75019)
- Pure Barre (230 N Denton Tap Rd #107, Coppell, TX 75019)
- Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (2620 W Grauwyler Rd, Irving, TX 75061)
- Coppell Family YMCA (146 Town Center Blvd, Coppell, TX 75019)
Please consider stopping by at one of these locations with a donation of any of personal hygiene and household items listed above. For more information about the "Beyond the Food Pantry" drive, please visit my website: https://goldawardmetrocrestservices.weebly.com/
