Assistance League of Coppell will hold its regular meeting on October 21 at Valley Ranch Baptist Church, 1501 E. Beltline Road. Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. and the meeting begins at noon. Guests are always invited. Our speaker this month is Brenda Hendrix-Smith, who will give a presentation on mindfulness. Ms. Hendrix-Smith holds a both a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Social Work. She is licensed and trained as a psychiatric social worker and has multiple specialties helping individuals and families. In April she will celebrate 40 years in the mental health profession with 34 years in private practice. She is astounded at how resilient the human spirit can be and is delighted to speak on mindfulness today.
