Claymore Operations, a local non-profit organization which prepares active duty US military to succeed in life after service to their country, invites the public to their annual Humvee Challenge on Saturday, May 8th from 10 am to 2 pm at the First United Methodist Church Coppell parking lot 420 S. Heartz Rd.. This is a family-friendly event that pairs teams of eight to compete in the pulling of an authentic 7,000-pound military Humvee over a 70-meter course for time and prizes. In addition to the pull, guests are invited to feast on Corny Dogs from the world-famous Fletcher's Original Corny Dogs, enjoy Hawaiian shaved ice from Kona Ice Shaved Ice Truck, participate in group exercise classes offered by the Coppell Family YMCA, a DJ, family games, and more. Sponsors of the event include Capgemini, the Coppell Family YMCA, Coppell Tire and Auto, Core Physical Medicine, Kwik Kar Vista Ridge, GO Sports Therapy, Trusted Medical and Natural Grocers.
