Troop 840 Rallies Behind Eagle Scout Alumnus, Luke Armstrong

Luke Armstrong, and his family, have a deep-seated connection with Coppell, Texas and Troop 840.  Luke was first a Cub Scout, and grew in scouting to receive his Eagle with Troop 840 in 2016.

He was attending Texas A&M University, and, on August 30, 2020, he was involved in a small-plane crash over Bryan, Texas, with three casualties.  He was the lone survivor.  Luke lost his long-time girlfriend and her parents in that crash, while he himself sustained many life-threatening injuries, including bleeding on the brain, facial fractures, broken jaw, among numerous others.  Thankfully, he is recovering, but the road ahead is a long one and a costly one.

On top of all the expected costs associated with his care, the rehabilitation facility he is admitted to does not provide parking passes, even for immediate family members, and that cost alone is $20 per day.

You can follow his recovery through the Facebook page created by his sister, Mackenzie Armstrong, Team Luke Armstrong & his Road to Recovery.

The family has asked for get well cards and wishes to be sent to him at:
