Canoeing at Camp Bartle

Spring is just around the corner and Boy Scout Troop 840 is holding their annual Mulch Sale.  As in previous years, the troop is selling premium quality, Texas-sourced products from Living Earth Technology, with four different types of mulch available:  hardwood, red-colored, black-colored, and cedar.

The mulch comes in two-cubic foot bags and is competitively priced at $5.00 per bag, with the exception of the cedar mulch selling at $6.00 per bag.  This includes free delivery by the scouts within the Coppell and Valley Ranch area.  Scouts will also spread the mulch at the customer's request for only an additional $2.50 per bag.  Delivery and spreading of the mulch is expected to take place the weekend of March 13 and March 14, 2021.

Proceeds from the sale help individual scouts earn their own way to summer camp and monthly campouts, as well as fund Eagle projects.  Last summer, Troop 840 was able to participate in monthly campouts and summer camp despite COVID-19.  The troop adhered to strict social distancing guidelines and wore masks.  They also held an assigned Fall Court of Honor outdoors to continue the tradition of recognizing the achievements of the Troop and individual scouts as well.

To purchase mulch, or if you have any questions, please contact any Troop 840 scout or send an email to mulch@troop840.org by Tuesday, Friday, February 26, 2021.

Troop 840, which is led by Scoutmaster Craig Warner and Senior Patrol Leader Asher Johnson, meets weekly at the Church of the Apostles, Coppell, Texas.  For more information, please visit their website www.troop840.org
