DESCRIPTION:Boy Scout Troop 840 will host its 28th annual "All You Can Stan
 d" Chili Supper on Saturday\, December 3rd\, 2022 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Vall
 ey Ranch Elementary\, located at 9800 Rodeo dr. Irving TX. Tickets are $10
  for the all-you-can-eat dinner\, which includes beef or vegetarian chili\
 , hot dogs\, baked potatoes\, and all the fixings. Additionally\, chili ma
 y be purchased by the quart for $13. To purchase tickets or quarts. Ticket
 s may be purchased at the door\; however\, advance purchase of tickets wil
 l ensure that the Troop will have enough chili and will also help scouts r
 each their chili-selling goal. Advance purchase for quarts is also encoura
 ged and will be available for pick up on December 3rd at the supper. Proce
 eds from the chili supper will be used to purchase camping gear\; includin
 g tents\, chairs\, knives\, hydration packs\, sleeping bags\, lanterns\, a
 nd more\, for the annual Scout Buck Auction held in May. Scouts must sell
  a pre-determined minimum amount of chili tickets to be eligible to partic
 ipate in the auction\, using "scout bucks" that they have earned throughou
 t the year by attending meetings and campouts\, advancing in rank\, earnin
 g merit badges\, holding leadership positions\, participating in the knotm
 aster program\, and other activities. We are using our original recipe tha
 t we have used for years to cook chili since the event began 28 years ago
  as a way to fund the auction. Chili is slowly cooked with aromatic spices
 \, Vegetables and beef using utmost care\, cleanliness and safety precauti
 on also beef and Vegetarian chili is cooked separately to avoid cross cont
 amination. So there is Chili for everyone !!  \nWhile the adults take care
  of the cooking\, the Scouts take care of setting up\, serving\, and the c
 lean up afterwards. It's our Troop Tradition and the Scouts are happy to s
 hare it with our community. Local Law Enforcement and Fire figthers usuall
 y join us for this event and we could not be more proud and excited to hos
 t the Supper Troop 840\, which is led by Scoutmaster Frank Miller and Seni
 or Patrol Leader Harrison Greenberg\, meets weekly at Church of the Apostl
