In case you missed it, Coppell High School's varsity football team cruised its way to a 31-7 first-round playoff victory over Irving MacArthur on Saturday at Dallas Cowboys Stadium.

To let the stats sum up the game, Coppell amassed a total of 373 offensive yards — 165 yards were through the air, and 208 yards were gained on the ground. CHS quarterback Colby Mahon completed 11 of 14 passing attempts. Coppell's leading receiver was Cameron Smith with seven receptions for 131 yards, and the team's leading rusher was Charles West who ran the ball 19 times for 129 yards and two touchdowns.

Now the Coppell Cowboys are moving on to round two.

CHS will be looking to keep its undefeated streak alive when it takes on DeSoto at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Allen High School in the UIL Area round of the playoffs.
