The 6A State Champion Coppell Cowboys (13-2-1) traveled to Berkner on Friday night for a matchup of district rivals.  Coppell turned in a very polished performance as they dominated Berkner from the opening moments of the game and came away with a well-deserved 5-0 win.

In the second minute of the game, a long cross by George Ackling found Nick Taylor unmarked in the penalty area.  Taylor made no mistake and his header flew past the keeper to open the scoring.  Two minutes later Wyatt Priest doubled the lead and Coppell was rarely troubled from that point on.  Taylor and Priest each added goals before halftime.  Early in the second half, Taylor scored again to complete his hat trick.

Jordan Pemberton was named player of the game for a very efficient defensive performance.

Coppell heads into the final week of the regular season with an away game against Skyline on Tuesday night and a home game against Richardson on Friday night.  Additionally, senior players will be recognized before the start of Friday night’s game.
